About Lenna

Hello, I'm Lenna

I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, CBT clinical supervisor, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy teacher in training, based in Stoke-on-Trent. With 17 years of NHS experience and five years in CBT practice, I create a supportive, comfortable and confidential space to help you explore and understand your challenges.

We'll work together to develop skills and strategies tailored to you and your lifestyle — tools you can keep using for years to come. I work online with clients nationwide and across Europe, so support is always within reach, wherever you are. Outside the therapy room, I'm a lover of nature, travel and sustainable living, and I try to bring that same sense of balance into my work with clients.

The treatment of choice

Why CBT is recommended

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is the treatment recommended by NICE guidelines and used as the NHS's primary approach for anxiety disorders, depression, and long-term health conditions. We'll work together to understand what's maintaining your difficulties, and build practical skills that create lasting change.

What I can help with

Evidence-based support, tailored to you

The main treatment I use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy — the approach recommended by NICE and NHS guidance for anxiety, depression and long-term health conditions. Depending on what feels right for you, sessions may also draw on other evidence-based approaches.

Sessions are held online, from the comfort of your own home. I currently have availability on Thursdays, with limited evening appointments.

What I can help with

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is about bringing your attention back to the present moment. Too often, we find ourselves caught up in the past — which we can't change — or worrying about the future, which hasn't happened yet. Mindfulness helps us reconnect with the here and now, giving us the confidence to live more fully, and gently just "be."

As a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher in training, I often weave mindfulness techniques into sessions alongside CBT — helping you build calm and clarity that lasts.

The benefits can include
  • Feeling more content and happier
  • Improved focus, attention and memory
  • A greater sense of calm and control
  • Stronger, healthier relationships
  • Lower stress and reduced anxiety
  • Increased resilience and self-kindness
  • Physical benefits such as reduced pain and better immune function
